A USB flash drive shaped like a round disc that hangs from a keychain. The casing is metal and the logo is applied by laser engraving on the surface. A useful corporate gift, the kind that gets used every day.

This model is made to order in our factory. You decide the shape, the material, the color and the logo. We handle the entire process: 3D design, mold, production, quality control and shipping to your country. The minimum order for customization is 100 units.

Shape and appearance

A round metal disc about 4 cm in diameter, with a polished edge and the USB connector protected on one side. The ring is welded to the body, not glued, and spins freely.

Design idea

The round shape was chosen so there are no corners to catch in the pocket. It also leaves a full, clean face for the customer’s logo.

This model was developed for a customer looking for a useful gift for their clients and distributors: a USB flash drive that also worked as a keychain, with the brand always in sight.

We worked from their logo: we adapted it to the shape of the casing, prepared the sample in three or four days, laser engraved the company name on the metal and pre-loaded folders with their product catalog. The customer received everything in printed boxes, ready to hand out at their next trade fair.

Manufacturing process

Each piece goes through eight steps. All of them are done in our own factory, so we control both quality and delivery time.

1. 1. Order definition. Together we choose the capacity (from 1 GB to 128 GB), the speed (USB 2.0 or 3.0) and the casing design.
2. 2. Chip selection. We buy new branded chips and test them by batches before assembling anything.
3. 3. Casing and mold. We manufacture or select the casing: metal, leather, PVC or acrylic. If a new mold is needed, it takes 3 to 5 days.
4. 4. Logo engraving. Your brand is laser engraved or printed on the casing, on one or both sides.
5. 5. Assembly and soldering. We mount the board inside the casing and close it. Every joint is inspected one by one.
6. 6. Capacity testing. We format and test every unit with a testing tool, not just part of the batch.
7. 7. Data loading. We can pre-load your catalog, video or presentation and write-protect the part that must not be deleted.
8. 8. Packaging. Individual bag, blister, gift box or printed box with your brand.

Material: metal casing (zinc or aluminum) and grade A flash chip

The casing is metal (zinc alloy or aluminum) and inside is a grade A flash memory with an original chip. We use full-capacity chips, never recycled rejects, because that is what determines whether data is truly stored. Every unit undergoes a real capacity test and a read/write test. The chips support at least 10,000 erase and write cycles and retain data for more than ten years without power. The metal casing protects the USB connector from dust and from the knocks of daily use.
